Truths Lab is the brand. Truths Corporation (トゥルース株式会社) is the legal entity that operates it — a Japanese kabushiki kaisha registered in Chiba in 2020, owned by a small team and structured around the work rather than around growth.
There is a gap between what AI is now capable of and what AI is now useful for. The gap is most of the interesting work. Truths Lab exists to close that gap on a small number of problems, deliberately, over a long timeline.
We chose to be a Japanese corporation, in Chiba, because the operating environment matches the temperament we want. Patient. Practical. Close enough to Tokyo to participate in industry. Quiet enough to think.
The company has six registered business purposes. They map to one through-line: applied AI, as a discipline, practiced honestly.
Founder of Truths Lab. Leads research direction and product strategy. Based in Chiba, working across Tokyo and the rest of Japan.
We work on AI questions that can be answered by building. The other questions are interesting but they are not our questions.
A demo is a claim. A product is a claim someone is forced to live with. We prefer the second.
We say what we have. We say what we do not have. We do not borrow credibility from words like revolutionary, breakthrough, or AI-powered.
The company is structured to ship one thing well, then another. We refuse the false economy of doing five things badly.
We work in English and Japanese. Documents that need to be authoritative in Japanese are written in Japanese first.
