Truths Lab is a small Japanese AI lab. We hire carefully, against a long-term roadmap, and we prefer people who want to stay. The roles below are either open today, or are roles we are always watching for.
About fraudulent recruiters.
Truths Lab only contacts candidates from an @truthslab.com address. We do not ask for payment, cryptocurrency, or banking details at any stage. We do not conduct interviews on consumer messaging apps before the second round. If you receive an offer that does any of these, it is not from us. Forward it to hello@truthslab.com and we will help confirm.
We staff against the work ahead, not the work behind. Even when a role is not formally open, we are happy to meet people we should know.
Computer vision, evaluation methodology, edge inference. Strong implementation skills as a default, not a stretch.

Operations · Chiba / TokyoWe work in English and Japanese. Business-level Japanese is appreciated for most roles, and required for roles that touch Japanese partners or compliance. The bar is the ability to do work that lands well in Japan, in whatever language gets you there.
We work onsite in Chiba for most roles. We are open to hybrid arrangements where the role doesn't need a lab presence. We do not currently support fully remote positions outside Japan.
We pay fairly, we own equity carefully, and we are open about the operating constraints of a small kabushiki kaisha at this stage of its growth.
We work on AI questions that can be answered by building. The other questions are interesting but they are not our questions.
A demo is a claim. A product is a claim someone is forced to live with. We prefer the second.
We say what we have. We say what we do not have. We do not borrow credibility from words like revolutionary, breakthrough, or AI-powered.
The company is structured to ship one thing well, then another. We refuse the false economy of doing five things badly.
We work in English and Japanese. Documents that need to be authoritative in Japanese are written in Japanese first.
